Today was spent wiping down the boat, going through everything inside the boat, making several trips to the local supermarket to scavenge a number of cardboard boxes, packing everything that needed to go home, and doing a thorough interior cleaning. The boxes where unloaded to the marina's storage building to save time tomorrow. Not sure it will all fit in the Land Rover especially if Morgan and Alexis come over with Lindsay. That was the entire day shot and I called it quits at about 8:00pm.

Sept 1

Lindsay arrived around 11:00 am, with Alexis and Morgan, and we were soon loaded up with little room to spare and heading home. Seemed very strange to be in a car after being on water since mid-June - very fast. All was well at home with the garden looking good thanks to Lindsay's hard work over the summer. Now the real work begins to unload everything, go through almost three months of mail, and get everything in shape for my trip later in the week to Spain.

So ended our trip for this year.

We ended up running the generator for 120 hours and the main engine for 143 hrs. We travelled just over a 1000 miles. Fuel used for both the engine and the generator totalled 363 gallons with an average consumption of 2.5 gph (based on fuel used divided by the main engine hours). Not too bad as we had quite a high generator usage this year. Next year will be better with the solar panels (we hope).
